This group was created for women and men who are mostly divorced or single, over 40 and who would like to meet new people and expand their friendships. Being new to Kingston and working for small local IT company as a marketing writer and office manager, doesn’t offer a lot of opportunity to meet new people in my age group to d …

This group is geared toward people that like to get together to try new places and meet new people. Maybe trying a museum, explore learning a new language or take a day out during the week to jump on the slopes. I love to meet new people from all over the world so why not meet them in my own backyard also. And for those that like to travel there will be a little of that thrown in too.

I love seeing live music. This group is for people like me, whose spirits are lifted by good music and who also want to support local musicians and venues. If you’re fed up of dragging reluctant friends to see a great band at a local venue, or just want to get to know some fellow music lovers, then this group is for you! I hope we can meet up a couple of times a month in various venues around the Northampton area – including the Iron Horse and Pearl Street. You can check out bands you like and …

I just moved to Salem (from the South Shore) in November. I thought it would be nice to get together with others who have recently relocated here so we can discover all the North Shore has to offer together. I am open to any type of activities the group shows interest in. I enjoy socializing (dining, drinks & apps), outdoor activities (hiking, beaches, bicycling), movies, plays, sporting events, and more. I just hope to provide a way for myself and others to meet some new friends to do these thi …
Born in the Midwest and relocated to the Boston area? You're not alone. We get it. You like beer, sports, casual fun, laughing too loud in bars that aren't too swanky for their own good. Come join us, and let's have some good old-fashioned Midwest fun! Friends of Midwesterners and aspirational Midwesterners are always welcome too :)

Overview Having a meaningful connection to a community can have a profound and positive impact on one’s sense of well-being and happiness. In a city as large and as transient as Boston, however, it can be challenging to build a sense of community in one’s life. City Common is being established to address this challenge; its mission is to enhance the sense of community in people’s lives by gathering like-minded individuals. Initially, City Common will offer two outlets for community building: C …

Have you noticed how most meetups start at 6:30 on a weeknight? Do you have a job where you don't leave at 6 on a weeknight? This group will try to focus on activities (food-related or not) that can still be done even if your life keeps you busy later than 6. Best efforts will be made to keep the meetups to after 8PM on weekdays (keeping in mind that tomorrow is another day) or various times on weekends. Life is busy, but let's make the most of the time that's there!
It often seems that the interesting events are in Boston or Cambridge. For many of us it means dealing with traffic, parking or trains. Wouldn't it be nice to have events nearby? Most likely they already do exist but we are not aware of them. This could be a great place to share your event and/or learn about other events. This Meetup is new and the webpage is under construction. Please give us time to grow and also feedback. Better yet volunteer to be an event host!
